Welcome to Race RGB ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our Formula 1 light synchronization platform and services. By accessing or using Race RGB, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing our platform, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

2. Service description

Race RGB provides a platform that synchronizes smart lighting devices (Philips Hue, LIFX) with Formula 1 race events, providing real-time visual feedback during races, qualifying sessions, and practice sessions.

Real-time flag synchronization (Green, Yellow, Red, Safety Car, VSC)
Session countdown and timing information
Integration with Philips Hue and LIFX lighting systems
Broadcast delay calibration for live viewing

3. User accounts

Account creation

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Age requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use our services. Users under 18 must have parental consent.

4. Payment terms

Trial period

New users receive a race weekend free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required during the trial period.

Season pass

After the trial period, users can purchase a season pass. This provides full access to all features for the duration of the F1 season.

Refund policy

General Policy: Due to the digital nature of our service and the immediate access provided upon purchase, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for season pass purchases.

Trial Period: We provide a race weekend free trial with full access to all features. This trial period is designed to allow you to fully evaluate our service before making a purchase. Please ensure you are completely satisfied with the service during your trial period.

Technical Issues: If you experience technical difficulties that prevent you from using the service as intended, please contact our support team at [email protected]. We will work with you to resolve any technical issues. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis only for significant technical problems that cannot be resolved.

Third-Party API Services: Race RGB relies on third-party API services (including but not limited to third-party race data APIs, Philips Hue API, and LIFX API) to provide its functionality. If any of these third-party API services experience outages, rate limiting, or other disruptions, Race RGB is not liable for any resulting service interruptions. No refunds will be provided due to third-party API service failures or disruptions, as these are outside of our control.

Billing Errors: If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and correct any billing errors within 30 days of notification.

Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting our support team may result in immediate account termination and may affect your ability to use our services in the future.

5. Referral program

How it works

Each account is given a unique referral link. You may share this link with others. These Terms govern your participation in the Race RGB referral program.

Qualifying referral

A referral only becomes valid and earns a reward when the person you referred is a new customer who signs up using your link and completes a paid Season Pass purchase. Signing up alone, free trials, refunded or charged-back orders, and any order that is reduced to $0 by a discount do not qualify.

Reward and payout

Each qualifying referral earns USD $5. Rewards are paid by PayPal to the email address you provide in your account, and are processed periodically (typically monthly). It is your responsibility to provide an accurate payout email. You are responsible for any taxes due on rewards you receive.

Prohibited activity

Self-referrals, referring your own additional or duplicate accounts, purchasing through your own link, fake accounts, spam, and any other fraudulent or abusive activity are not permitted. We may withhold or reverse rewards, and suspend accounts, where we reasonably believe such activity has occurred or where a referred order is later refunded or charged back.

Discounts

We may from time to time offer discount or promotional codes in connection with referrals or other campaigns. Unless stated otherwise, codes cannot be combined, are limited to one per customer, have no cash value, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Changes to the program

We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program, or change the reward amount, at any time. Any rewards already qualified and unpaid at that time will still be honored.

6. Acceptable use

Permitted uses

Personal, non-commercial use of the platform
Integration with your own smart lighting devices
Sharing your experience with friends and family

Prohibited uses

Commercial use without written permission
Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
Creating multiple accounts to extend trial periods
Interfering with or disrupting our services
Violating any applicable laws or regulations

7. Privacy and data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services, including account information, device preferences, and usage analytics to improve our platform.

8. Intellectual property

Our rights

Race RGB and all related trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your rights

You retain ownership of your personal data and any content you create using our platform.

9. Service availability

We strive to maintain high service availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Our services may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance
Technical issues or updates
Third-party service dependencies (race data APIs, lighting APIs)
Force majeure events

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Race RGB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of profits or revenue
Damage to smart lighting devices
Interruption of service
Data loss or corruption

11. Termination

By you

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or deleting your account through the platform.

By us

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved in the courts of Australia.
