For a long time Race RGB only came alive during live sessions, when the official timing feed was running. That left out a huge part of being an F1 fan: catching up on a race you missed, re-watching a classic, or studying a qualifying hour lap by lap.
The MultiViewer integration changes that. Because the Race RGB desktop app reads MultiViewer’s live timing rather than a clock, it follows the video. Load any session as a replay and your room reacts exactly as it did on the day, every yellow, red, safety car and chequered flag, in sync with what’s on screen.
What you can do now
Re-watch past races
Relive a classic or catch up on a Grand Prix you missed, with your lights reacting to every flag as it happened.
Scrub and re-live moments
Rewind to that safety car or red flag and watch the room change again. Press “s” in MultiViewer to resync.
Qualifying Mode on replays
Light your room sector-by-sector as a driver sets a lap, on any past qualifying session, with a switchable driver picker.
Any session, any weekend
Practice, qualifying, sprint or race - if you can play it in MultiViewer, Race RGB can light it.
How it works

- 1
Open your replay in MultiViewer
Run MultiViewer with your F1 source (e.g. F1TV), load the session you want to re-watch, and open its Replay Live Timing window.
- 2
Connect the desktop app
Race RGB detects MultiViewer automatically. Pick your lights and click Connect, no broadcast-delay calibration needed.
- 3
Watch, rewind, resync
Your lights follow the video. If you scrub around, press “s” in MultiViewer to resync playback to live timing and stay matched.

Replay lighting questions
Can I use Race RGB on a race that already finished?
Yes. Live sessions sync from the cloud, but the Race RGB desktop app also reads MultiViewer’s timing, so you can play any past race or session as a replay and your lights react in perfect sync, flag for flag.
How does it stay in sync on a replay?
The desktop app mirrors MultiViewer’s live timing rather than a wall clock, so it follows the video. Rewind, fast-forward or scrub freely, then press “s” in MultiViewer to resync the video to live timing and your lights snap back in step.
Does Qualifying Mode work on replays?
Yes. With MultiViewer connected you can run MV-native Qualifying Mode on a replay, lighting your room sector-by-sector as a driver sets a lap. Switch drivers any time with the searchable picker to follow a different onboard.
What do I need?
The Race RGB desktop app (a Season Pass perk, on Windows and macOS), the MultiViewer app, and your F1 source (e.g. F1TV) for the replay. Open MultiViewer’s Replay Live Timing window and connect in Race RGB.
Which lights and flags are supported?
Philips Hue, LIFX and Govee, with every flag covered: green, yellow, red, safety car, virtual safety car, fastest lap and chequered. You can fully customise each one with Personalized Reactions on the desktop app.
