No additional hardware required for LIFX!

Currently supported: LIFX (all bulbs), Philips Hue (all bulbs, strips, and accessories), and Govee (bulbs, strips, and accessories). Coming in 2026: Nanoleaf integration. We're constantly adding support for more smart light brands.

How do I connect my lights?

For LIFX: Enter your LIFX API token from your LIFX account. For Philips Hue: You need a Hue Bridge first, then use our OAuth flow to connect your Hue account, or enter your Hue Bridge IP and application key for local control. For Govee: Get a free API key from the Govee Developer Portal and enter it in Settings.

What's the broadcast delay feature?

The broadcast delay lets you sync your lights with your TV/streaming service. If your lights react before you see the flag on screen, increase the delay. If they react after, decrease it. Most users find 3-5 seconds works perfectly.

Yes! Race RGB runs in any mobile browser on iOS and Android, so you can control your lights from your phone. There are also native Windows and macOS desktop apps (a Season Pass perk) for local LAN control and MultiViewer support.

Do I need to keep my browser tab open?

In the browser, keep the Race RGB tab open during a session for continuous light sync. If you'd rather not babysit a tab, use the Race RGB desktop app (Windows and macOS, included with the Season Pass): it runs in the background and holds the live connection for the whole session, so you can do anything else on your computer while your lights stay synced with the race flags.
